Our story
The Well Church was born out of obedience, repentance, and God’s redeeming grace.
Aliesha and Tyriq met at Millersville University through campus ministry and worship. They were married in 2018, welcomed their son Nehemias in 2019, and continued serving students even after graduating. In 2021, their marriage entered a season of deep brokenness. In the midst of that pain, God gave Aliesha a vision of Tyriq leading a church—long before it made sense.
That season led Tyriq to a 40-day fast and a renewed surrender to the Lord. In early 2022, a moment of vulnerability during a Bible study revealed a need for a space centered on honesty, worship, and accountability. This led to the first retreat in March 2022, where the Holy Spirit moved powerfully—bringing salvation, healing, and transformation. What began as a small gathering quickly became a growing community.
In May 2023, weekly Bible studies officially launched as The WELL (Worship, Exegesis, Lively Learning). God continued to grow the ministry through discipleship, retreats, baptisms, and deep community. In 2024, The Well became a nonprofit, and after a season of prayer and planning, The Well Church officially launched on September 28, 2025.
Today, The Well Church exists to make disciples, build authentic community, and create space for people to encounter Jesus and live out their faith.
