WE BELIEVE IN THE APOSTLES CREED
I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
He ascended into Heaven,
He is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.
We believe in the Holy Scriptures as the inspired word of God, the final authority for faith and life, inerrant in the original writings, infallible and God–breathed (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20)
The word of god
We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit-co eternal in being, co–eternal in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfection (Genesis 1:26, Matthew 3:16-17, Matthew 28:19, Deuteronomy 6:4, 2 Corinthians 13:14)
The Trinity
We believe all are born into sin and fall short of the glory of God. As a result, man is separated from God incurring His wrath and judgement; in desperate need of a savior (Romans 3:23, Ephesians 2:1-3)
Sin
We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins (Ephesians 2:4-8, Romans 10:9, John 1:12, 1 Peter 2:24, Isaiah 53:5)
Salvation
We believe that human sexuality is a gift from God, designed by the Creator to be shared within the context of marriage. We affirm that God has ordained marriage and defined it as the covenant relationship between one man and one woman. Therefore, the heterosexual union for married persons and committed celibate behavior for unmarried persons are the only Biblical options for human sexual conduct. We believe God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God (Matthew 19:6, Genesis 1:27, Genesis 2:24, Hebrews 13:4, Romans 1:18-32)
Marriage
We believe that the one true church, the body and bride of Christ, is made up of all born–again persons. The establishment, autonomy and continuance of local churches is defined in the Scriptures. We recognize believer’s baptism and the Lord’s Supper as scriptural means of testimony for the church. We believe that the gathering of the saints is a command from God that should not be forsaken (Hebrews 10:25, Acts 2:41-47, 1 Peter 5:1-5, Titus 1:1-5)
the church
We believe in the existence of the spiritual world, along with supernatural beings such as angels & demons who are currently at work fufilling God's agenda in the affairs of mankind. (Ephesians 6, Hebrews 1:14)
the spiritual realm
We believe that God is sovereign in the bestowing of spiritual gifts, though it is the believer’s responsibility to attempt to develop their sovereignly-given spiritual gift(s). We also believe that particular spiritual gift(s) are not essential for salvation. We believe that God does hear and answer the prayer of faith, in accordance with His own will. We believe that it is the privilege and responsibility of every believer to minister according to the gift(s) and grace of God that is given to him. These gifts should be operated in love. (1 Corinthians 12: 4-14, Ephesians 4: 7-8, Romans 12: 1-8, 1 Corinthians 13)
